Group project with Franziska and Isabel.

A typographical project about a swimming club with a focus on their social aspect.

Goal of this project was to create a fictional brochure/magazine and website for a local sports club that had some kind of special social function.

We decided to work with a swimming club which had the specialty of having a programm in which they trained refugee kids to swim.

A unique program in Germany back then.

We chose to name our brochure "sprungbrett" what translates into springboard since many of the pics where made from one, we don't show a single springboard throughout the whole project and last but not least because the two t's at the end can be combined into a nice ligature which we entended to look like an actual springboard (do you see what we did there?).

As photographic material we combined large szene shoots and a lot of close ups to provide a wide dynamic.
As little special content we also had interviews with the chairman of the sports club, a long-standing trainer and a girl who did her voluntary social year there because she loved swimming herself and also wanted to teach the kids.
As little special for the actual brochure we decided to use some transparent and thin foil which we had cut out in form of the title and also in form of some quotes we used inside.
